Complicated Hope

“No weapon meant for use against you will succeed.

You will have an answer for everyone that accuses you.

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me;

That NO purpose of yours can be thwarted,”. Job 42:2

“When Jesus heard this, he said, “This illness will not end in death.

No. It is so that the Son of God will be Glorified THROUGH it!” John 11:4

Nineteen years ago today, January 26, my 6 month old infant daughter slid off the side of our bed, resulting in a torn carotid artery and let to massive mid-cerebral arterial stroke in the predawn hours of January 27.

Death. Failed Development. Cerebral Palsy. Epilepsy. Botox. Drug trials. Physical therapy. Occupational Therapy. Reading specialist. Education plans. 18 surgeries. — a knowledge base we never wanted.

She beat every statistic. Every diagnosis, God laughed at and He showed himself faithful and strong.

Nineteen Days ago, we took her to YWAM Madison where she began preparing to follow God as Missionary. Where? She didn’t know. How? Like she has done everything – in the strength and power of God her Savior and Sustainer.

Today, 19 years after the enemy tried to change her life, she began her choice of Mission Assignments.

NO Weapon prospered.

NO Plan has succeeded against her.

NO Statement of evil has stood.

NO Promise goes unfulfilled.

…. and all glory goes to the Father of Creation who faithfully full is His plan towards His children!
