Never in my wildest dreams as a youngster in West Texas or teenager in Oklahoma or young adult at a University – never did I ever imagine that my mornings would include a video chat to Phnom Phen, Cambodia! To visit with kids on a mission and get sweet virtual kisses from amazing little girls.
That’s how small our world has become in my 47 years. Phone calls that would have cost dollars per minute where now done for free with a video as well.
It amazes me. And I’m very grateful too!
In this Brave New Small World, it seems it would be easier to live more intentionally – to purposely share God’s love with those we meet. To purposely write social media posts that encourage and uplift. To intentionally post pictures that show how we can reach the hurting of our communities.
However, it seems we’ve isolated ourselves instead, choosing to live in our homes, cars, corner coffee shops.
Live out loud!
Before you leave the house today – Stop. Pray.
“Lord, show me how to live intentionally today so that I can show people your love. Give me boldness to speak that love to those who listen. Give me grace to walk out your peace before those who need to see before they can hear.”
